Breathe: 5 stress relief verses

Hey,

During times of uncertainty and stress, it can be easy to fall into the greatest trap for us humans….our minds. Therefore, it is important to have some handy tools nearby to support you during these times. For me, whenever I’m stressed, I’ll do 3 of the following things:

  • Clean the entire house
  • Listen to the gospel or classical music
  • Read bible verses which are relevant to what I’m feeling at the time

In this post, I will be giving out my top favourite verses to help you on the days that you feel stressed and just not your usual self. Even if you’re not a religious person, I feel like reading it itself has the ability to lift that weight of worry off your head. So without a further ado, here are my personally picked verses for you to enjoy.

Joshua 1:9

‘Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.’

Psalm 23:4

‘Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.’

Proverbs 3:5

‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.’

Psalm 46:1

‘God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.’

2 Corinthians 1:5

‘God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.’

I recommend you read at least one of these verses when you wake up or even speak into existence one thing that you’re grateful for that morning (being able to see a new day is a blessing in itself). They will comfort you for the rest of the day and know that He is watching over us during this peculiar time. Despite the sudden pause, uncertainty and isolation, the Lord will always be our refuge and our fortress. We are in this together!

Yours Truly,
